About me

Hello! My name is Lucy and I am illustrator based in London.

I always wanted to be an artist when I was growing up, apart from a brief period in the 2000s when I wanted to be Britney Spears. Having grown up near the New Forest and the coast, I am drawn to wildlife and am passionate about the protection of endangered species and areas in the UK – and beyond.

I studied BA Hons Illustration at Plymouth University and graduated with a Masters in Childrens book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art in 2018. My first picture book, The Worry Warthog, was published in 2020 and is available on Amazon and Waterstones.

I like to work using traditional techniques (such as gouache, watercolour and pen and ink) and enjoy colourful and nostalgic illustrations that spark joy and tell a story.

My small business was born when I started creating pet portraits for customers during lockdown – and I now have a wide range of cards, prints and giftable homeware available online and in shops and galleries. When I’m not drawing, I can be found drinking cups of tea or walking Paddington, the sausage dog. I also have a not very secret love of karaoke.
